Safety City Summer Camp

PROGRAM SUMMARY

This safety-themed summer camp is fun, interactive and reasonably priced! Children play games, make crafts and participate in activities as they learn about a different safety theme each day. The topics covered include pedestrian traffic safety, water safety, animal safety, children's emergency readiness and fire safety.

Pedal Pushers™ Bicycle Safety

PROGRAM SUMMARY

This program is five hours in length and includes classroom instruction and on-site training. The material focuses on skill development and proper road safety procedures for the young cyclist. Participants are required to bring their own bicycle and helmet and must be able to ride without training wheels.

7 Steps To Safety Birthday Party

PROGRAM SUMMARY

A pedestrian themed birthday party at Safety City is a fun and unique way to celebrate your child's special day. After a short classroom presentation children go out to the streets of Safety City and ride battery-powered scooters. This takes up the first half-hour portion of the party. Next the group comes back inside to the party room for an hour for cake and presents. The remainder of the time is spent back outside driving. All participants must bring their own bicycle helmets.

PLEASE NOTE: Parents are responsible for all food, beverages, cutlery, napkins, party favors, etc.

PROGRAM DETAILS

  • Birthday parties are available for children ages 4-8 (this applies to guests and birthday child).
  • Parties are offered weekdays only from May to the end of August as space permits.
  • A deposit of 50% of the party cost is required at time of booking to reserve your space.
  • Registration for spring and summer parties will begin Monday, April 18, 10:00am at Safety City.
  • Birthday parties are 2 hours.
  • Cost is $100.00 and includes 15 children.

     


Safety Stop

PROGRAM SUMMARY

Safety Stop sessions are an opportunity for families to participate in the Pedestrian Traffic Safety, Fire and Home Safety, and Acreage and Farm Safety programs (see school programs page for more program information). Children must be accompanied by an adult for these sessions.

  • The program is available for children ages 4-12 (depending on program).
  • The program is offered during July and August.
  • The cost to attend is $8.00 per child.
  • Pre-registration is required and begins Monday, March 21, 10:00 am at Safety City.
